Channel Your Inner Healing Power

Guided relaxation is a technique that uses positive mental images to influence

how you feel, specifically intended to help you completely relax.

A guided relaxation session offers you the environment and assistance to reduce and eliminate stress, anxiety, and depression from your life.  I will be your relaxation guide and I will help you find inner stillness and encourage positive thinking to allow you to improve your holistic health and well-being.

Guided imagery, used in this relaxation technique, helps you use your imagination to take you to a calm, peaceful place. Because of the way the mind and body are connected, guided imagery can make you feel like you are experiencing something just by imagining it.  Imagining yourself in a calm, peaceful setting can help you relax and relieve stress. 

The goal of my guided relaxation sessions is to bring you to a calm state of mind. The idea is that your body reacts to your own thoughts. For example, when you think about a stressful situation, your body and mind become tense.  Guided relaxation will bring your mind to a more peaceful state, thereby allowing your body to completely relax as well.  It is a very simple, yet very powerful technique that can help you quickly and easily manage stress and reduce tension in your body.


Healing meditation uses guided imagery to help you cleanse, clear, and release any pain / discomfort / ache / toxin from your body to bring you into a state of balance and well-being.  

It is believed that healing meditation promotes the relaxation response and is linked to the production of serotonin (our feel good "happy" hormone) as well as dopamine (our feelings of pleasure/reward); and it influences the sympathetic nervous system, lowering blood pressure, improving heart rate and respiration.  As the mind begins to relax through gentle guidance and controlled breathing, it sends a quiet message to the tense and tight muscles to relax as well.  When these factors are poorly controlled, feelings of stress and anxiety can emerge.

Our minds control the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellness of our bodies. Self-awareness plays a key factor in our inner healing processes.  Our self-awareness will be restricted by negative feelings, such as self-doubt, feeling sorry for yourself, jealousy, etc., which opens the door to self-destructive behaviors as every day stresses build up.  However, when your self-awareness expands, your health multiplies along with your sense of well-being.  Healing meditation will help you achieve this. We will first relax your mind, then begin the inner healing process.


You will either lie down on a comfortably padded massage table, a zero gravity chair, or on the floor on a mat, fully clothed, covered with a blanket, and supported by pillows/cushions OR sit comfortably on a chair, covered by a blanket, leaning back against the back of the chair, or leaning forward with your head resting on a table with pillow/cushions for support.  I recommend you wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes.  Soft relaxing music is played to assist with the relaxation process.  I will also offer a lovely lavender-scented eye pillow to use if you are laying down.

I will proceed to guide you through some breathing exercises to help you to begin to relax your mind and set the tone for whichever technique you have requested.  Once you have started to show signs that you are beginning to relax (breathing is slower and deeper, body is more relaxed, eyes are relaxed) I will begin the selected technique.  It will last for either a half an hour or one full hour, based on your choice.

Once I have talked you through the process, we will finish up with a "TLC" shower, as I show you how to use the positive healing energy all around us to give ourselves a little extra love and healing through personal touch.


And finally, after we have finished the session, we will have a discussion on your experience.   


As with any holistic healing session, you may notice some changes in your mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual well-being.  This is normal, as everything is trying to come into balance since you have activated your self-healing ability.  Drink plenty of water, as it will help to clear any toxins from the body.  And rest whenever you need to.

As part of your Guided Relaxation and/or Healing Meditation experience with me, you will receive individualized holistic lifestyle coaching both before and after each session.  My recommendations will be based on our discussions, and anything that I noticed during your session, and will be offered to you as a way to help bring more balance and healing to your life.
